Why give through the Give to LA Consolidated Charitable Campaign?

During the campaign, City employees can give to nonprofit organizations that work directly in the communities where they live and thrive. The campaign allows City employees to donate to the campaign via payroll deduction. Give to LA Campaign is a celebration of the strength of giving together and supporting our communities, dedication to what matters most to you, and making a big difference every payday. We hope you will join us by making a contribution.

What nonprofits can I give to?

Through the Give to LA Consolidated Charitable Campaign, you can donate to any nonprofit of your choice. However, the City of Los Angeles has vetted and approved 11 participating nonprofits listed below:

• Asian Pacific Community Fund
• Brotherhood Crusade
• City of Hope
• Community Health Charities
• EarthShare California
• Los Angeles Foundation on Aging
• United Latinx Fund
• United Negro College Fund
• United Way of Greater Los Angeles
• Variety – the Children’s Charity of Southern California

The online pledge form lists hundreds of local, national and global charitable choices. In the charity designation section, you can select from the charities listed above or write in a charity of our choice.

Can I donate to more than one nonprofit?

Yes, you can give to multiple nonprofits and designate different amounts to the charities of your choice. You may also select the “distribute funds evenly” button.

What if the nonprofit of my choice is not listed?

If you do not find your organization, you can use the "Advanced Search" option when creating your pledge. This will allow you to search for your organization in the IRS database and allow you to give to any registered 501(c)3 nonprofit.

How can I give?

As a City employee, you have the option to give via payroll deduction. A payroll contribution of just $5 per pay period in one year adds up to a $120 donation.
