Dear Friends and Colleagues, We are excited to invite you to join this year's UMass Amherst Community Campaign, and honored to serve as your co-chairs.
UMACC brings the UMass community together to support important causes that need our help. Each gift makes an impact for the common good.
Participating is simple. A single gift can be divided among multiple nonprofits, so you don't have to choose just one cause. You can give to any registered nonprofit, from health and wellness, to hunger relief to medical research, the arts, environmental stewardship, animal welfare, and so much more. 100% of your donation goes to 501(c)(3) organizations; none is retained by UMass.
You may contribute through payroll deduction, check, or credit card, and choose whatever amount feels right for you this year.
According to a survey of UMACC donors, colleagues renew their pledges year after year because of the range of causes to support, the ease of payroll deduction, the ability to give to more than one organization at once, and the feeling of being part of something larger than themselves. More than eighty percent of donors return to give again the following year.

Great Reasons to Give through UMACC! It is a great way to connect with your co-workers and to help those in need.

It shows the local community that UMass cares.

It reduces administrative work for nonprofits and since over 80% of UMACC donors renew, it's a predictable form of income for them.

Your can give to several nonprofits at once.

Payroll deduction enables you to spread out your payments throughout the year.

It makes record keeping a breeze and things are easier at tax time.

Giving as a part of a community towards a common goal motivates people to participate, who would not donate otherwise. (For real!)

Where Your Donation Goes

It's a lot of work every year to process over 2400 donations and to pay 400 nonprofit organizations!

UMACC is fortunate to partner with CHC: Creating Healthier Communities, our Campaign Fiscal Administrator.

CHC's fee is only 6% of the donations that come in. CHC is a 501(c)(3) organization. CHC focuses on eliminating health disparities. Learn more about CHC in the FAQs.

That means 94% of what you donate goes to the nonprofit(s) that you choose, and 100% of your donation goes to nonprofit organizations.

If you pay by credit cards fees will be deducted from your gift.

UMACC program expenses are paid by the office of External Relations and Community Events.
